Students' project on State Level Competition

The area has received very low rain fall this year. Inspired by the situation, Ajay Katke and Hrishikesh Suvarnakar, the students of Military School, developed a model on Modern Farming System, which needs very few amount of water.
The Model was presented in a district level Science Exhibition held on 26-27th December 2014 at Gramin Tantradnyan Mahavidyalaya, Nanded. The project has been awarded with the first prize for its innovation and presentation. The project is now selected for State level competition.

Shri. Kadam Pandurang, Asst. Teacher, High School and Shri. Vijay Surshetwar, Asst. Teacher, Primary School also presented their projects in the exhibition. Both of their projects are awarded and selected for state level competition. 

Seva Dharmik Award to SSM

SSM has been felicitated with the 'Seva Dharmik' award on 24th November 2014 by Chaitanya, an organization based at Hyderabad. The award is for SSM’s selfless service for the social development. The program was organized at ‘Ravindra Bharati’, Hyderabad. Shri. Pramod Deshmukh, Chairman, SSM received the award by the auspicious hands of Shri. B.Ch. V. Subba Rao, Chairman of Ashwini Group, Hyderabad.

Chaitnya is an organization of Engineers, well known for its work in the fields of social and cultural in Hyderabad and the area. 

SSM’s Bio Diversity Theme At Chennai

The third ‘Indian Bio-Diversity Congress’ was held during 17th to 20th December 2014 at Chennai.
A number of institutions working on the theme of bio diversity conservation, have set-up their stalls in the three days event.

SSM in association with Maharashtra Govt has been running the ‘Maharashtra Gene Bank Project.’ The basic objective of the project is conservation of the traditional/indigenous seed and drive the farmers to use it to onserve the agricultural bio diversity and self sustainability.

In the event more than fifty stalls were presented by different organisations across the country. SSM, along with its sister organisations in the MGB project have participated as a group and presented a stall in the event. 

Shri K.Rossaya, The Governor, Tamilnadu had visited the stall and appreciated the work and theme. The stall has been chosen as the best stall and honoured with the first rank. The program was concluded in the auspices of the Shri. Prakash Jawadekar, Environment Minister, Govt. of India. 









               

Workshop on Leadership for SSM Team

SSM has been organizing a 'Chintan Baithak' every year for all the HODs with an aim to build a strong team to achieve desired goals.  
SSM organized a two days workshop on 20th and 21st Dec at Maniknagar, Dist. Bidar.  Shri. Pramod Deshpande from ‘Helpers of Handicapped – Kolhapur’ facilitated the workshop as the resource person.
About 40 HODs of SSM took active part in the workshop. Various games, motivational slide shows, videos, group discussions and guidance sessions were organized to develop team work and leadership skills.

Relief Fund for Kashmir

Kashmir is known as the heaven on Earth. Unfortunately the flood in Kashmir, in the recent months has devastated the life of  people, rendering them to streets. It takes years of hard work and Finances to restore normalcy in the area.

The NCC cadets of  Shivaji High school collected Rs. 10,000/- as a relief fund  and forwarded to the District Collector.

SSM Honoured with 'Aai ' Gaurav Purskar

Gangutai Sale Vykhanmala Sanyojan Samiti  Nanded, presents ‘Aai Gaurav Puraskar every year, to the organisations and individuals for their commendable work for the Society. A Felicitation event was organised  on 6th November, at Kusumtai auditorium in Nanded.

This year, SSM is honoured with the Award for its contribution in the field of Education in the area. Shri. Pramod Deshmukh, the Chairman has received the award on behalf of SSM This program was attended by Dr. Pandit Vidyasagar, Vice Chancellor, SRTMU, Nanded, Shri Vivek Ghalsasi, a renowned journalist and many more elite.

Manoj, an Alumni, Extends a Helping Hand

Manoj Panchal, an alumni of SSM's Anand Balgram, following the ‘Giving Back Culture’ has been  helping the students in many ways from past two years. Manoj had sponsored a one day excursion for the School's  children to the holy city of Nanded during Diwali vacation. The children visited Gurudwara, the temple of Kalelshwar, Vishnupuri Project, Visawa Garden etc and also enjoyed 'Prakash Baba Amte', a sensational Marathi movie.
